The Generals defeated the slumping Knights despite the absence of MPBL Nueva Ecijales Pioneers head coach Jason Cabilettes.

JP Maguliano scored 20 points while EAC’s Nat Consejo and Ralph Robin had 18 and 16 points respectively.

Emilio Aguinaldo College ended the Knights’ championship run with an 82-69 win over Letran.

The Generals went on a 21-5 run, but the Knights mounted a comeback late in the second quarter to push the score to 43-39.

However, LeTran was unable to follow suit as team captain Kurt Reyson left the game with an injury with 2:27 left in the half.

This allowed the EAC to continue its dominance, dropping 11 of 12 games to Letran, snapping the Knights’ hopes of advancing to the Final Four.

Letran’s Colby Monje had 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Generals will face San Beda on Sunday to improve their record to 7 wins and 5 losses to improve their semifinal chances.

On the other hand, the Knights will also face Lansing University of the Philippines on Sunday.
